 Who is Trini Garage?
Trini Garage is primarily an online automobile acquisition service as well as a portal for locally owned vehicles for sale. You identify a vehicle on our site you want, and we purchase it for you and import it to Trinidad. If it is a vehicle in stock for sale locally we will send you the information on how to purchase. As simple as that really.

What's the price I see for Japan RoRo vehicles on Trini Garage?
All prices listed on Trini Garage are C&F (Cost & Freight) and in the Trinidad & Tobago currency.

Why should I buy a Japan RoRo used import with Trini Garage?
Simply, to save a considerable sum of money and to receive a higher quality vehicle with lower mileage, higher specification and bodywork that is in undeniably superior condition to most local second-hand vehicles.

We also undertake a full service check on all vehicles purchased before shipping. Where applicable, we also undertake purchase of units VAT free to you. This means a saving of 20% from the outset.


So.... what do I get for my money?
  • All vehicles listed are either serviced or sold as is. 
  • Vehicles sold as is means the unit will cost less saving you money.
  • However, all vehicles receive a Premium Showroom Valet (both inside and out).

Are Japan used vehicles right-hand-drive?
Yes, Japan used vehicles are right-hand-drive.

Are Japan used vehicles road-legal?
Yes they are. No conversions are required and vehicles arrive ready to be driven.

How can I buy / import a vehicle on Trini Garage

At first you need to send an inquiry to us using the ‘Send Inquiry’ button located within the Shopping-Cart (garage) after you have added a vehicle to your Garage. An Agent will then get in contact with you. Only fill form if you are serious about importing such vehicle before we contact you to schedule your appointment. For simple questions not posted online feel free to contact us.

Is it possible to negotiate the price on Trini Garage?
All prices quoted on Trini Garage are already heavily discounted, as can be seen by our pricing.


What if the car I want to import is not listed on Trini Garage?
Certainly not a problem. Simply send us a message using the contact form provide below any page or click on the 'Contact' button and tell us what vehicle you will like imported. An Agent will then send you with a quote via email or Whatsapp.
Making Payment
Is full payment required upfront?

Certainly not. Any automobile acquiring service worth its salt will never ask you for full payment upfront. If they do, beware. We at Trini Garage aim to simplify the purchase process, whilst reducing any adverse risk to you. As such, we ask for a 50% deposit of which we will then purchase your chosen vehicle for you.

*¹ Proof of Purchase documents – For Japan used vehicles, a copy of the Bill of Sale from the Japan dealership will be provided.



Where do I send the payment to?
All payments are made directly to Trini Garage. Banking details and payment instructions will be provided upon signing of the Purchase Order agreement.

What currency can I make payment in?
We accept payment in TTD or USD. Although the prices are listed in TTD, if a customer wishes to pay in USD we will state the Amount in the Purchase Order Agreement by the client's request.

What types of payments are accepted by Trini Garage?
We only accept payment by cash, electronic bank transfer or cheque. Please note that all cheques are only deemed settled upon clearing, which is usually 4-7 working days from presentation to the bank, for a Trinidad & Tobago bank cheque.

How long does it take to confirm my payment?
It normally takes 4-7 working days for us to confirm the payment (depending on several circumstances). Important note: If the name of the person who paid the money is different from the name on the Purchase Order agreement, please kindly let us know in advance, as this may cause delays in the confirmation of payment.

Shipping your vehicle

How can I estimate the cost of shipping?
All prices quoted on Trini Garage are inclusive of shipping.

How long does it take to receive my vehicle?
Vehicles shipped to Trinidad usually take 10-14 weeks.


Local Vehicles 4 Sale / Work To Own or W.T.O

Can I list my vehicle for sale or work-to-own on Trini Garage?
Of course you can. Simply click on the 'Add Vehicle' button on the Navigation bar (Top right corner).

What is the COST to list my vehicle?
Cash payment via local bank deposit or wire transfer is only $150 TT. Save when you pay with PayPal, which costs only $19.99 USD. 
For cash deposits, please remember to send us a clear photo of your banking receipt to confirm payment.

Do I notify Trini Garage when my vehicle is SOLD or if I want to REMOVE my ad?
It will be very kind if you save our other guests the time by letting us know your vehicle was SOLD. Simply click on the 'Contact' button or scroll down on any page and send us a message using the simple 'Contact Form' provided. Leave your name and in the body state the Vehicle number plate, name of vehicle and state if SOLD or if you just wish for your ad to be removed
